Micah Caldwell - Director and Producer
Lost Speedways Season 1
One of the greatest opportunities of my career was directing and producing NBC and Peacock's TV show, Lost Speedways. The series allowed me to combine my passion for storytelling, history, and motorsports by helping bring the forgotten stories of America's abandoned racetracks back to life. Working alongside talented industry professionals and racing legends, I had the privilege of creating compelling content that connected audiences with the rich heritage of stock car racing while preserving an important piece of American motorsports history.
Lost Speedways Season 2
After the success of Season 1, I was honored to be invited back to direct and produce Season 2 of Lost Speedways. Returning to the series was both a privilege and a testament to the hard work of our entire team. Season 2 provided an opportunity to uncover even more untold stories from the world of motorsports, build upon the show's success, and continue bringing the history and culture of racing to audiences across the country.
Sun-Drop with Dale Jr.Â
One of the highlights of my commercial directing career was directing a Sun Drop commercial featuring Dale Earnhardt Jr.. The project combined high-energy storytelling, strong brand messaging, and the personality that has made Dale Jr. a fan favorite. Working with a recognizable motorsports icon on a regional advertising campaign provided a unique opportunity to create engaging content that connected with racing fans and consumers alike.
Nationwide ATV
I had the opportunity to work with Nationwide on an ATV safety awareness campaign focused on promoting responsible riding practices and educating outdoor enthusiasts about the importance of safety. Through engaging video content and storytelling, the campaign helped deliver important safety messages while encouraging riders to protect themselves, their families, and others on the trail.
Harrison's Shopping
I had the opportunity to work alongside Josh Berry, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kelley Earnhardt Miller on a fun home shopping network-style spoof that blended comedy, creativity, and motorsports entertainment. The project showcased the personalities of everyone involved while delivering engaging content that resonated with racing fans and demonstrated the power of storytelling through humor.
Baby Ruth Throw-back Paint Scheme
It was a privilege to work on the Baby Ruth throwback paint scheme project with the late Michael Annett. Together, we had a blast stepping into the shoes of Jeff Gordon and recreating the spirit of one of NASCAR's most memorable paint schemes. The project combined nostalgia, creativity, and a shared love for racing history, making it an experience I'll always cherish.
